Muzej Nikole Tesle
Pepeo Nikole Tesle čuva se u zlatnoj urni, okruženoj njegovim najvećim pronalascima i dostignućima. U samom centru Beograda, nalazi se vila koja u sebi čuva svetsku zbirku posvećenu životu i radu naučnika i velikana Nikole Tesle. Poznat po svom rivalstvu sa Tomasom Edisonom i poronalaskom struje, inukcijskog motora, radio prenosa i naravno čuvenog Teslinog transformatora. Tesla je bio srpski, ali i austrijski državljanin, rođen u Hrvatskoj. Svoj profesionalni život je živeo u Budimpešti i Parizu, a na samom kraju se preselio u Amariku, gde je i umro u gradu New Yorku 1943. godine. Tek nakon deset godina posle smrti, njegovi zapisi i dela prebačeni su u muzej u Beogradu, gradu u koji je često i rado dolazio. Muzej ovog velikana nalazi se u samom centru, u samoj blizini našeg hotela Skadarlija i bila bi prava šteta ne videti ga. Sam muzej se sastoji od sedam soba, u kojima se nalaze na hiljade dokumenata, knjiga, fotografija i Tesline opreme za rad. Čitava kolekcija se nalazi pod zaštitom UNESCO programa, posvećenom očuvanju dokumenata i materijala svetskih naučnika. Muzej trenutno radi i na programu digitalizacije svih prikupljenih dokumeta, radi osiguranja i boljeg očuvanja istih. Teslin pepeo se čuva u zlatnoj urni u trećoj prostoriji. Pepeo je doputovao 13. jula 1957. godine brodom „ Triglav“ . Četiri dana kasnije urna je stigla u Beograd. Tada je priređena svečanost na kojoj je urna predata Muzeju Nikole Tesle na trajno čuvanje do dana današnjeg.
Spomenik „ Pobednik“
Na samo nekoliko desetina minuta šetnje od Skadarlije i našeg hotela, nalazi se Kalemegdan, pluća grada Beograda. Pored znamenitosti i lepota koje krije, tu je i spomenik „ Pobednik“ , podignut u spomen i čast pobede srpske nad otomanskom vojskom. Izgrađen 1928, stoji visok i ponosan kao podsetnik na istoriju srpskog naroda i njenu slavnu prošlost. Projektovao ga je slavni Ivan Meštrović, a njegov položaj i pogled ka ušću Save i Dunava smatra se nekom vrstom prkosa srpskog naroda nad svima koji su pokušali da ga pokore. Kip predstavlja glavnu atrakciju Kalemegdana i simbol je grada Beograda.
Crkva „ Ružica“
Svaki turista koji je pronašao smeštaj u centru grada, ne sme propustiti obilazak ove prelepe crkve. Gosti hotela Skadarlija, često imaju radoznala pitanja o isceliteljskoj moći „Ružice“ i njene čudene i lekovite vode. Smeštena je u severoistočnom delu Kalemegdana. Staru crkvu su Turci pri osvajanju Beograda 1521 godine porušili. Crkva koja danas postoji, prvo je bila barutni magacin koji je u 18 veku pretvoren u vojnu crkvu. Mađutim, tokom Prvog svetskog rata ponovo je ruše. Obnavljaju je po završetku rata 1925 godine. Prilikom ove obnove, napravljene su dve statue. Jedna predstavlja kopljanika cara Dušana, a druga pešadinca iz Balkanskih ratova. Najveći deo radova ipak je završen tokom 1937 godine, kada je izgrađena kapela Svete Petke, trem i crkveni dom, koji je uništen u bombardovanju 1944. godine. Danas ova crkva krasi Beograd i nadaleko je čuvena po svojoj lepoti u celom svetu. Postala je deo znamenitosti glavnog grada, u koju se okupljaju ljudi širom sveta. Gotovo je nezamislivo doći na Kalemegdan, a ne posetiti je! Ušuškana između zidova tvrđave, prkosno stoji i odoleva zubu vremena, prohujalih ratova i razaranja.

Museum Nikola Tesla
Nikola Tesla's ashes are kept in a golden watch, surrounded by his greatest finds and accomplishments. In the very center of Belgrade, there is a villa which keeps a world collection dedicated to the life and work of the scientist and great man Nikola Tesla. Known for his rivalry with Tomas Edison and pioneering current, injection engine, radio transmission and of course the famous Tesla transformer. Tesla was a Serbian, but also an Austrian citizen, born in Croatia. He lived in his professional life in Budapest and Paris, and at the end he moved to Amarik where he died in New York City in 1943. Only ten years after his death, his records and works were transferred to a museum in Belgrade, a city he often visited. The museum of this great man is located in the center, right next to our hotel Skadarlija, and it would be a real disadvantage to see him. The museum itself consists of seven rooms, which contain thousands of documents, books, photographs and Tesla's work equipment. The entire collection is under the protection of the UNESCO program, dedicated to the preservation of documents and materials of world scientists. The museum is currently working on the program of digitizing all collected documents, in order to ensure and better preserve them. Tesla's ashes are kept in a golden watch in the third room. The ash arrived on July 13, 1957, by boat "Triglav". Four days later, the urn arrived in Belgrade. At that time, a ceremony was held where urns were handed over to the Museum of Nikola Tesla for permanent storage to this day.
Monument "Pobednik"
Just a few tens of minutes walk from Skadarlija and our hotel, there is Kalemegdan, the lungs of the city of Belgrade. In addition to the sights and beauty that hide, there is also a monument "Pobednik", erected in commemoration and honor of the victory of the Serbian over the Ottoman army. Built in 1928, it stands tall and proud as a reminder of the history of the Serbian people and its glorious past. It was designed by famous Ivan Mestrovic, and his position and view towards the confluence of the Sava and the Danube is considered a kind of defiance of the Serbian people against anyone who tried to obey him. The statue is the main attraction of Kalemegdan and is a symbol of the city of Belgrade.
Curch „ Ružica“
Every tourist who has found accommodation in the city center should not miss the tour of this beautiful church. Guests of the hotel Skadarlija often have curious questions about healing power "Ružica" and its strange and healing waters. It is located in the northeast part of Kalemegdan. The old church was destroyed by the Turks in the conquest of Belgrade in 1521. The church that exists today was first a barrack warehouse that was turned into a military church in the 18th century. However, during the First World War, it was once again crumbling. It is being restored after the end of the war in 1925. During this renovation, two statues were made. One represents the duchess of Emperor Dusan, and another infant from the Balkan Wars. Most of the works were completed in 1937, when the chapel of St. Petka, a church and a church home was built, which was destroyed in the bombing in 1944. Today this church adorns Belgrade and is widely known for its beauty all over the world. It has become part of the capital's major attractions, bringing together people around the world.
